Ana Madan
McDonald's

Born in Havana, Cuba, Ana M Madan migrated to the United States in 1960. She was raised in Toms River, New Jersey and graduated from the American University in Washington DC with a bachelor in International Affairs. Her parents Roberto and Ana, instilled in her a passion for success vis-à-vis a proper education! Ana has 3 daughters: Vanessa 22, Kristina 18, and Ariana 16. Her personal interests include her family, friends, music and traveling. Her main priority is maintaining a healthy balance in her relationship with her children, her immediate family and her friends. She takes family life and parenting very seriously and promotes these values in her work environment.

Ana's successful career as a second generation Owner/Operator of six McDonald's restaurants in New Jersey, were not made easy. She began her work career as a regular crew member of a McDonald's restaurant in Newark. Her dedication and commitment to the corporation provided her with several opportunities for growth. In 1986, she became the owner of her first McDonald's restaurant.

Ana's efforts for success have made her a valuable asset to the McDonald's corporation and the communities her businesses strive in. She is currently the President of the North East Division of McDonald's Hispanic Owner Association and an active board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Tri-State Board. Her involvement with RMHC has helped to build a very successful scholarship program for Hispanic High School Seniors - HACER, as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities' commitment to help children with life-threatening illnesses a home away from home while receiving treatment at nearby area hospitals.

Her restaurants are very active in their communities' efforts as they hold weekly events for needy families; they feed the homeless and provide educational activities for school age children. Ana's involvement with her communities makes her a force to reckon with. She is the epitome of Ray Kroc's (McDonald's Restaurant Founder) motto of 'giving back to the communities we do business in'!
